CyberIAM Graduate Programme
CyberIAM’s graduate scheme annually hosts a series of recruitment selection days, after which a small number of exceptional computer science graduates are hired. It is important to the company to help these new employees to grow and have successful careers; they therefore undergo an intense six-month vendor program, after which they enter a shadowing program, working with Senior Consultants on projects to develop their consultancy skills.
Past graduates, Stephen Kenny and Shehriyar Faisal (Shez), completed the CyberIAM graduate programme some time ago and Jade Townsend is currently progressing through it. Although the three of them were hired a few years apart, a clear message shone through each of their interviews: The CyberIAM graduate programme is set apart from others, which is highlighted by the fast growth that each of these graduates has experienced in such a short period of time.
Jade, CyberIAM’s most recent graduate, joined the company in June of this year and is still busy learning the ropes. She is currently undergoing extensive training, mentoring and help by her senior colleagues, without which both Shez and Stephen would not have grown the skills they now have. The open and approachable nature of the senior members and the leadership team have enabled a grateful Jade to feel comfortable and rapidly gain help and insight in her learning process.
Working closely with senior members within the company on two projects, helped Shez in his skills development working on two projects and he has now stepped into a Developer role for his third project with one of CyberIAM’s biggest clients. All of this after only being with the company for a year.
Not only has Shez been given the opportunity to work on multiple projects but has also broadened his knowledge of Identity Governance.
The training opportunities that CyberIAM provided to Shez as a graduate have improved his knowledge and skills much more quickly than would normally be expected. For Shez, one of the highlights of working for CyberIAM has been attending some phenomenal training sessions with big software vendors, such as Okta and Beyond Trust.
Stephen has also stated that one of his main positives of working for CyberIAM is being able to attend excellent training sessions and company events. Stephen joined CyberIAM shortly after the company first started its graduate scheme, three years ago, and was one of its first recruits. Stephen has progressed from graduate to SME in just under three years and has worked on multiple IAM projects. He acknowledges that the opportunities afforded him and the reaching this height in his career so quickly, would not have been possible without the support and approachability of the CyberIAM team. Stephen is now able to pass on the support he had from the CyberIAM leadership team, as a line manager, to new graduates, who are aided by his knowledge.
These three CyberIAM employees have made it clear that the atmosphere and environment that CyberIAM provides to graduates, helps them grow confidently and pushes them to achieve more within their career paths. To date we have had 12 Junior Developers complete the program with 4 undergoing the program currently.
