CyberIAM NHS Challenge
During the middle of a Global Pandemic, CyberIAM wanted to give back to the community as well as challenge ourselves. Working from home with no face to face colleague interaction can be a challenge in itself so we also wanted to keep our minds healthy by getting out in the fresh air. We decided to run, cycle and walk to raise money for the NHS Appeal. The NHS have been working tirelessly day in and day out to help combat this awful disease, Covid-19.
When first mentioned to the team there was a massive uptake. 20 Spartans virtually assembled to undertake a huge challenge to complete 1,000 miles and raise funds for the NHS.
During week 1 the team got off the blocks super-fast! Over 400 miles were completed in the first week so based on this, we would have completed our target by the middle of week 3. With this in mind, in order to further challenge ourselves, we decided to increase our target miles and raise the stakes.
Over the 5 weeks the team completed over 1850 miles and burned off over a massive 180,000 calories or 780 Chocolate Bars!
This is the first CSR activity that CyberIAM has carried out which has been a massive success. It has been a great achievement by the team and a fantastic initiative to keep us all active, both mentally and physically.
Here’s a few snaps from our team while out running, walking and cycling.
